BIOGRAPHY
Nauman
was born in Lahore, Pakistan. He was educated in St. Anthony's High
School and graduated from the King Edward Medical College, Lahore.
Nauman
moved to Ireland in 1996 where he lives with his wife and two children
in Moira, Co. Down, Northern Ireland and where he works full time
as a Consultant Psychiatrist.
His
interest in art was encouraged from an early age and he taught himself
to paint, only really beginning to paint seriously in 2004 taking
inspiration from the Irish environment. His main medium is watercolour
whilst experimenting at times with other mediums and his themes include
cityscapes, landscapes and horse riding among others.
Despite
working full time and bringing up a family his waking moments are
consumed by the images he sees around him and so inspire him to take
up his brushes.
Nauman
was elected to the Ulster Watercolour Society (UWS) in 2009 and has
exhibited at various venues around Ireland. His work has been very
well received both in Ireland and abroad.
